About National Virtual Union Catalogue

The National Virtual Union Catalogue of Sri Lanka serves as a centralized portal, enabling users to search and browse bibliographic records from libraries across the country. Currently, it integrates the catalogues of 25 public libraries, alongside the National Library of Sri Lanka. Through this platform, users can conveniently search for specific book details and determine their availability in participating libraries. Furthermore, the site offers real-time updates on the status of books, ensuring accurate and timely information for its users.

The NLDSB invites all libraries to become part of the Virtual Union Catalogue (VUC), a platform designed to benefit the entire nation. Following libraries are currently incorporated into the VUC. Libraries interested in joining the VUC are encouraged to contact the Bibliographic Control Division of the NLDSB for further details.
